Profile & network

An engineer’s instinct, pointed at practical problems.

I’m Everett Stenberg: a naval officer, software builder, prospective business operator, and persistent student of systems that can be made clearer, faster, or more useful.

My work tends to begin with the same question: what is actually happening underneath the surface? That habit was formed writing code, strengthened learning submarine operations, and now shapes the way I evaluate businesses and build products.

I am interested in work with real stakes and visible outcomes: a shop that runs better, a household that better understands its finances, a language model that learns more efficiently, or a website that finally explains why a good business deserves attention.

I don't believe these are unrelated identities. Operations, engineering, finance, and business ownership all reward accurate observation, disciplined systems, and the good judgment to keep technology in its proper place.

Good reasons to reach out

I value specific conversations.

  • You own a service business and are considering succession or selling.
  • Your company has not discovered a useful AI opportunity for optimizing operations.
  • You are building small-model research, retrieval, or self-play systems.
  • You need a website that sounds like the people who actually run the business.
